Voting Question: Should I work at Philmont?

I am thinking about working at Philmont Scout Ranch for the summer. I went there as a scout and liked it. I love backpacking and camping. I would apply to be a Ranger. I want to be able to spend lots of time out hiking, not at base camp. If anyone has worked there and has some insight it would be helpful.
