I am going camping this coming June in Washington...partly because we are all college students and can't afford hotels every night and also because we all LOVE the outdoors. I am, however very concerned about staying dry and black bears. I know that the Olympic Pen, is very wet and it rains almost everyday, so do you have any advice to keep dry and warm? Obviously, take a water resistent tent and clothes but I wonder even if we have a water resistent tent that the water will still get through if it rains alot. Secondly, I have been told about black bears in the area. I know I must take pepper spray, a knife, and possibly a gun but what else could you tell me to keep safe?
Through this whole trip, we want to see the ocean, Forks where Twilight was filmed, and just have a great time!...I would just like to be safe while doing it
Thanks!
