Open Question: Remote campsites in Los Angeles area?

Hello! Does anyone know any remote / primitive / undeveloped campsites in the Los Angeles area or a few hours away? I love hiking and camping, but the developed campsites around here are so close together and crowded...not really the escape from civilization that I crave. I've been to one nice trail in Ojai, but I'm looking for something new. Anyone have any ideas?
